The Dawn

The dawn is fast approaching,

and i

wake up alone again.

I do not know how or when this will end

the agony

of nightmares in my bed

I am stuck in silence, broken down

beating on the horses, who have no sound

the agony of silence, a land gone wrong

the thestrals of time that take away this song

I wish I could know

all the things I do right

as I battle the foes

day in at daylight

they wake to rise me

they rise to shake me

and I, alone, fight back

wielding a dagger of light

in the darkness and then

the shadows must turn

as in light I do wend

through the passages

of time

to whisk away sad

Smouldering ruins bespoke

of a life once well had
